I have contributed to the development of the European reference framework for Entrepreneurship Competence (EntreComp). The framework was published in English in 2016 (300 citations, 54,026 unique downloads the first two years since publication) and has been  used widely all over the world. Given the strong interest and uptake, third parties have translated EntreComp into 7 languages including Greek, French, Russian, Chinese and Arabic.  The framework is referenced in key policy documents, such as the 2018 Council Recommendation on key competences for lifelong learning. The definition and description of Entrepreneurship Competence in this document, is fully based on, and aligned with the framework we have developed at the JRC.
