Project description

I designed and managed the study “Educational Technologies Foresight – Horizon Report Europe”. The aim of the study was to examine trends, challenges, and technologies for their potential impact on and use in teaching, learning, and creative inquiry.  The Horizon Report Europe: 2014 Schools Edition, was the first report of its kind for Europe. It examined six key trends, six significant challenges and six important developments in educational technology that were very likely to impact educational change processes in European schools between 2014-2018. The topics discussed in the report were carefully selected by the Horizon Project Europe Expert Panel, a body of 53 experts in European education, technology, and other fields. The Creative Classrooms  multidimensional framework, was used for analysing the trends, challenges and technologies presented in the report. The analysis reveals that a systemic approach is needed for integrating new technologies in European schools and impacting educational change over the next five years.
